- APOLOGIZE FOR BEING LATE -




*What is your favorite movie?
 My favorite movie is Shrek. 

 *How long have you studied on USB? 
 I've been studying on USB for two years.

 GRAMMAR PRACTICE:

 I overslept. I missed the bus. 
I couldn't get a taxi. 
I couldn't find a parking space.
 I got stuck in traffic.

Take turns asking and answering the questions. Use the present perfect in all your answers. 
 1. Is there a movie you've always wanted to see?
 I've always wanted to see him conjure.

 2. Have you seen any good movies recently?
 Yes, I recently saw: Great tourism.
 
 3. What's the best movie you've ever seen? 
 The best movie I've seen is "Marley and I"

 4. What's the worst movie you've ever seen? 
 The worst movie I've ever seen is "the orphan"

 5. How many movies have you seen so far this month?
 As far as this month is concerned, I have only seen. 

 6. Are there any classic movies that you haven't seen yet? 
 Yes, I haven't seen "karate kid" yet.
 
 FOR AND SINCE


Explanation:

 •We can use for and since with present perfect or past perfect simple or continuous
. •We use for + a period of time, e.g. for two weeks, for ten years, for ten days, for a few hours, etc.

 We’ve been here for a few hours. He’s been studying for a long time. 
 When I met them, they had been married for ten years. 
 We can also use for with the past simple when an action or event started in the past and also finished in the past after some time. Compare: I have lived in London for 20 years. (=I am living in London now. The action has not finished.) I lived in London for 20 years. (=I am not living in London now. The action started and finished in the past.) •We use since + a starting point (the moment that marks the beginning of a period of time), e.g. since I was born, since 10 o’clock, since last Wednesday, etc. We’ve been here since 4 o’clock. He’s been studying since he got up. They had been married since 2010.

 Answer: I have been working on this project for three months. 

* We've been waiting at the airport _____ 8 AM. 
Answer: We've been waiting at the airport since 8 AM.

* He has been a member of the club _____ 2012.
 Answer: He has been a member of the club since 2012.
